— Walking the Walk: Lifestyles for Continued Health and Wellness, 6:30 p.m. at College Park Gym. A panel of Winchester‐Parks and Recreation fitness instructors and members will share their weight loss stories with you, including the varied routes through which they were able to maintain weight loss success. Participants will be able to ask questions and share thoughts on options, goal setting and more.

— Bluegrass Heritage Museum Second Thursday program, 6:30 p.m. at 217 S. Main St. Speaker will be Ron Pen from the John Jacob Niles Museum at the University of Kentucky. He will speak about Echoes of the Hills. Pen is a speaker for the Kentucky Humanities Council. Program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. FRIDAY, MARCH 15

— Winchester Rotary Club meeting, noon at Woody’s, 923 Bypass Road.

— The Keto Bandwagon, 12:30 p.m. at Full Circle Market. Come learn what it means to get your body into ketosis for weight loss. Register by calling 859‐744‐3008. Class limit is 12 people.

— Knights of Columbus Lenten fish fry, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Menu includes fish, hush puppies, cole slaw, twisty taters and a drink. Cheese pizza will be available for children. Homemade clam chowder will be available for $10 per quart or $4 per bowl. Meal is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $5 for children.

— I Was Here street museum reception, 7 p.m. at Leeds Center for the Arts. The mission of the project is to create a memorial to those who were sold into slavery and in doing so, to seek a path beyond who we were and move toward a vision of who we could be. The project aims to instill a deeper understanding of our common humanity and to create a means to “see the world with different eyes.” Sponsored by The Greater Clark Foundation and Clark County Community Foundation. — I Was Here street museum walk and community talk back, 9 a.m. at The Winchester Sun. The event will conclude at Leeds Center for the Arts for a community conversation at 10:30 a.m. to learn from each other and move forward with purpose in an effort to grow within our community. — Guided bicycle tour, 10 a.m. at College Park Gym. Ride will travel through the alleys around College Park. Bring your own bicycle or bicycles, helmets and children’s trailers are available for loan. To borrow a bicycle, arrive at 9:30 a.m. to be properly fitted. Hosted by Walk‐Bike Clark County. MONDAY, MARCH 18

— Winchester-Clark County Tourism Commission meeting, 9 a.m. at 2 S. Maple St.

— AARP income tax preparation assistance, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church annex, 101 W. Lexington Ave. Service is free for all taxpayers through the AARP Tax-Aide Foundation. Taxpayers should bring their previous year’s return and all documentation for 2018 income, proof of taxes paid and contributions required for those who itemize. Program is Mondays and Tuesdays through April 15.

— Healthy Choices for Every Body Series, noon at the Clark County Extension Office. The Healthy Choice for Every Body series is designed to educate the whole family with new ways to eat healthy and exercise for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Each lesson of this series will include a recipe demonstration and tips on topics such as meal planning, eating better on a budget, and weight management. There will be drawings and prizes for participation. Preregistration is required by calling the extension office at (859)‐744‐4682. Taught by Nutrition Education Program Assistant Sandy Kennedy.
