Cards hope to end regular season on high note

The George Rogers Clark Cardinals are looking to close out the regular season on a strong note.
GRC has only lost two home games this season and sits comfortably with a 21-6 record and a perfect 6-0 40th District record.
The Cards have finished the district undefeated in the regular season in back-to-back seasons to secure the number-one seed.
GRC will host 12-16 Frederick Douglass as the two teams meet for the second time this season Tuesday.
The Cards fell to the Broncos 66-58 in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic Dec. 30.
After falling to a 6-19 Bryan Station team at home Jan. 12, who were 2-14 at the time, GRC has gone on an eight-game winning streak which is their longest streak of the season.
Senior Brennan Canada leads in the Cards in scoring with 13.6 points per game.
GRC currently holds second place in the 10th Region behind 22-4 Campbell County.
The Cards have lost to Campbell County in the region tournament two years in a row.
GRC will play home Tuesday against in a rematch against Frederick Douglass and Thursday against Henry Clay before facing off against Paris in the first round of the 40th District tournament Feb. 19 at Bourbon County.
