Oscar Lee Jones, 91

Oscar Lee Jones, 91, widower of Lois Smyth Jones of 67 years, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

A native of Clark County, KY, he was born on October 21, 1927 to the late Garnet Dudley and Rosa Johnstone Jones. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Bundy Tubing. Mr. Jones was a United States Army veteran and a lifetime member of Ephesus Baptist Church, where he gave his life to Christ at the age of 13.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth L. Jones of Winchester; daughter, Terry Sue Jones Coulter (Ron) of Clark Co.; two grandchildren, James Todd Shofner (Jennifer) of Florence and Nikki Shofner Moore (Kevin) of Clark Co.; four great grandchildren, Jacob Tate Shofner, Jonah Todd Shofner, Samantha Nicole Moore, and Kevin Maxwell Moore; four siblings, Clara Harris of Clark Co., Jonathan Dudley “J.D.” Jones of Florida, Leon (Anita) Jones and Bonnie (Paul) Rogers, both of Clark Co; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Howard. 

Services will be at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Dr. Todd Rader. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his great grandchildren and Deacons of Ephesus Baptist Church. Members of Ephesus Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 12:00PM until time of service.
