Kenneth H. McIntosh, 85

Kenneth H. McIntosh, “Mack,” passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 at 1:32 PM at the Lexington VA Medical Center.

He was born on April 9, 1933 in Winchester, KY to the late Perry and Callie Christopher McIntosh.

Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean War where he served his country proudly. He was one of the founding members of the VFW post 2728 and was selected in 2015 to attend the “Honor Flight.”

He loved fishing, UK basketball and visiting the ocean every year.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John McIntosh; son, Robert Earl, who died in infancy; daughter, Brenda McIntosh; and 2 grandsons, Patrick McIntosh and Tony Whiteman. 

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Cindy) and Larry (Karen) McIntosh and two daughters Diane (Billy) Willoughby and Kathy (Kevin) Holt, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew, and several cousins. 

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home.

Services will be at 10:00AM, Friday, January 25, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Chaplain Anita Shimfessel.

Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 12:30PM.

Pallbearers will be Andrew McIntosh, Logan McIntosh, Dalton McIntosh, Nickolas Willoughby, Jordan Cockrell, Michael Atwood, Steve Curtis Jr, and Tim Wasson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of VFW post 2728 and great-grandsons.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to VFW Post 2728, 116 Sterling Street, Winchester, KY 40391 and/or Thomson-Hood Veterans Center Family Council in honor of Kenneth McIntosh, 100 Veterans Drive, Wilmore, KY 40390.
