Helen Ralston van Erven, 87

Helen Ralston van Erven, age 87, passed away on January 14, 2019, at home with her daughter in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

She was born in Winchester, Kentucky on December 16, 1931, the second of four sisters, and lived in Clark County for most of her life, moving to St. Augustine, Florida in 1982; recently returning to her home state of Kentucky.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vivian (Steven) Bowman-Edwards of Cary, NC; Trudy (Harold) Bowman Glover of Campbellsville, KY; son, Gary (Kathy) Bowman of Advance, NC; sisters, Billie Lois (Johnny) Ford of Winchester and Sue King of Lexington; grandchildren, Kristin (Valeriano) Montes of Morrisville, NC, Travis (Robin) Glover of Oxnard, CA; and Stephanie (John) Laverde of Newport News, VA; four great grandchildren: Austin Edwards, Sofia Montes and Natalie Montes of Morrisville, NC; Kathrine Laverde of Newport News, VA; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora K. and Robert R. Ralston; her sister, Ruby Elizabeth Witt; and her husband, Jacob van Erven.

She will be buried near her mother in the Winchester Cemetery. A Celebration of her life will be schedule at a later date.
