Mary Frances Thompson Johnson, 84, wife of Millard Johnson, daughter of the late Frank and Joanna Ragland Thompson, died at her home after a short illness.
She attended Eastern Kentucky University and worked at several places including Clark County (First Security) Bank, The Winchester Sun and Calvary Christian Church.
Mrs. Johnson loved people and being outdoors. She enjoyed trail riding and living her life to the fullest. She loved cross stitching, baking desserts, including cream pies and playing rook. She attended Christview Christian Church and appreciated time spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Johnson was a past member of the Elkhorn Saddle Club and a current member of Kiddville homemakers.
In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, she is survived by three children, two sons, Daniel Lee (Debbie) Johnson and Frank Randell “Randy” (Lisa) Johnson and one daughter, Anita Carole (Jamie) Brandt of Houston, TX; four grandsons, Chad (Stephanie) Johnson, Cory (Leann) Johnson, Clifton (Sarah) Johnson and Ramsey (Cassie) Johnson; one granddaughter, Breanna Martin; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Brenda Johnson Anglin; and her brother, Gordon Thompson.
Services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, December 22, 2018 by Pastor Forrest Hahn and Vern Mohr at Scobee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cory Johnson, Clifton Johnson, Ramsey Johnson, Denny Johnson, Dennis Sams and Ronnie Sturdivant. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hardiman, Bob Fuller, James Clark, Kenneth Winkler, Jim Bell, Jeff Rickels and Bill Class.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00-8:00PM at Scobee Funeral Home.
