First-grader Camila Tadeo waits in line to get some "skittles medicine" for her unicorn. Shearer Elementary School hosted a Teddy Bear Clinic, put on by George Rogers Clark High School students.
First-grader Jaxon Rison said his triceratops fell off of the Eiffel Tower and into the gravel, causing some minor injuries.
Luckily, George Rogers Clark High School HOSA students had set up shop in the Shearer Elementary School halls, providing much needed bandages, x-rays, experienced teddy bear surgeons and the cure-all “skittles medicine.”
HOSA students host the annual Teddy Bear clinic at the district elementary schools throughout the school year, during which students can bring in their sick stuffed animals for an exam.
At Shearer, students brought in their unicorns with a stomachache, bunnies with ringing ears and more.
