Programs honor veterans

The Veterans Day program at the Generatons Center was one of many celebrations in Clark County, which continue for nearly two weeks.The day of recognition, Nov. 11, has become a significant event in Winchester, with nearly every school having a celebration as well as other organizations within the community. Friday brings another round of events honoring veterans including programs at 8 a.m. at Baker Intermediate School; 8:30 a.m. at Strode Station Elementary; 9 a.m. at Conkwright Elementary School; noon at the College Park Gym; 1 p.m. at Shearer Elementary School; and 1 p.m. in front of Justice Elementary School.
