Meet Me At the Pole Sunday

The final “Meet Me at the Pole” prayer event for the upcoming election will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the flagpole in front of the Clark County Courthouse.

Yard sale at Providence Pentecostal

Providence Pentecostal Church, 7076 Old Boonesboro Road, will host an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Food pantry at First Baptist

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at Salem Church at Pine Grove

This Sunday, the folks at Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, will join with brothers and sisters in Christ around the world to observe the “International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church,” as we pray for those who are being tortured, imprisoned or martyred because of their faith. The Sacrament of Communion will be celebrated, and a potluck luncheon will follow. Worship at the “Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” begins at 11 a.m.

Trinity UMC services, thrift store

Trinity United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. The church also operates the Trinity UMC Thrift Store at 302 N. Main St. every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on the first and second Saturdays of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Services at FirstPresbyterian

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Interim pastor is Jerry Owen. Guest speaker is Brock Barnhouse.
