Prayer event for election
There will be “Meet Me at the Pole” prayer events for the coming election at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4. All events will be at the flagpole in front of the Clark County Court House.
Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church.
Homecoming at Providence Baptist
Providence Baptist Church Old Boonesboro Road will celebrate homecoming at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Shireys will perform and a potluck will follow. All are welcome.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
Services at Liberty Bible Church of God
Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Interim pastor is Jerry Owen. Guest speaker is Brock Barnhouse.
