GRC and RDC sees success in annual overnight meet

Runners from Robert D. Campbell Junior High and George Rogers Clark traveled to Georgia last weekend to compete in the Coach Wood Invitational at the McIntosh Nature Preserve.
These runners competed against 663 others and many placed in the top 25.
Many runners also set new records for themselves while beating their previous personal best times.
Runners who participated were Julia Graves, Rachel Puckett, Emma Taylor, Sydney Partin, Keaton Goebel, Ethan Henderson, Cord Tackett, Garrett Boley, Sammy Hernandez, Emma Bowling, Maria Jackson, Hunter Raney, Austin Raney, Veronika Hughbanks, Cody Cooper, Campbell Taylor, Ellie Mitmesser, Jack Lootens, Logan Dawson, Alyssa Pasley, Kennedy Partin, Beau Stacy, Josh Wilson, Caleb Green, Cooper Wasson, Liam Parido, Colby Hatton and Brooklyn Strange.
Cord Tackett placed ninth for the varsity boys with a time of 17:06.
Rachel Puckett placed 12th with a time of 21:44, Julia Graves placed 24th and the girls varsity team placed third overall out of 18 teams.
Cooper Wasson placed first with a time of 17:43, Hunter Raney placed 15th and the JV boys team placed fourth overall.
Beau Stacy placed ninth and Veronika Hughbanks placed 23rd for the JV girls team.
The elementary and middle school teams will be competing this weekend at the state meet.
