LEXINGTON – Kentucky American Water has started construction of a water system improvement project in Clark County.
The $1.85 million water main extension investment will occur along Athens-Boonesboro, Quisenberry, Waterworks, Old Stone Church and Combs Ferry roads. It will enhance water pressure and water quality for customers in the area.
Trenching work is scheduled to begin this week, with the project continuing through April 2019, weather permitting. Contractors will be working in existing right-of-ways and on private property easements. Traffic along the route will be impacted at times. Motorists traveling in the area are urged to use caution to help keep themselves and those working on the project safe.
This project is part of Kentucky American Water’s ongoing effort to ensure reliable, quality service through more than $20 million in annual capital improvements.
