The case against three Clark County teenagers charged in an August 2017 shooting and robbery is headed to mediation.

Dakota Townsend, 17, Stacey Stamper, 16, and Brandon Hart, 18, are each charged with one count each of first-degree assault and first-degree robbery. All three were arrested following the incident, which occurred on Washington Street, and pleaded guilty to the charges in Clark District Court in November.

On Thursday, Clark Ciruct Court Judge Jean Chenault Logue sent the case to felony mediation.

According to court documents, police believe Stamper set up to a marijuana deal with the victim, 19-year-old Logan Ramsey. He told detectives that Stamper demanded his money when Townsend and Hart both showed up with handguns. When Ramsey turned to run, both Townsend and Hart allegedly fired several shots, two of which struck Ramsey in the shoulder and back.

When Ramsey fell, he said the other two kicked him, and took his cell phone and money.

Hart, Stamper and Townsend all reportedly lived at 414 E. Broadway St., where police recovered two handguns, two cell phones, cash, ammunition and other items.

According to their arrest citations, Stamper told police Ramsey took the marijuana and ran. Hart and Townsend chased him, and Townsend fired his handgun.

Hart told detectives he saw Townsend assault Ramsey, but did not see anyone fire any shots.

The three are due back in court Aug. 11.
