George Rogers Clark High School is one of 37 high schools in Kentucky to receive the College Success Award.
The award recognizes high schools that succeed in preparing students to enroll and be successful in college.
According to a press release from GreatSchools, the award recognizes schools in nine states where high school-level data on college preparation, enrollment, course remediation and persistence were available including Arkansas, Colorado Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Missouri.
GreatSchools recognized 814 high schools across the nine states. According to the report, the winning schools have a track record of not just graduating students but helping them enroll in college and succeed once there.
Kentucky includes vocational enrollment in their calculation of college enrollment data, while most other states only include two- and four-year colleges.
