A pansy once poised for spring-like weather peaks through a pile of snow at a local garden center Sunday morning. Despite the start of spring already past, Kentucky was hit with more wintry weather over the weekend with freezing rain and snow that caused slick roads and sloshy conditions throughout the Bluegrass. According to the Kentucky Weather Center, a more mild week is ahead. Highs for the week are expected in the 60s, but spring showers continue throughout the week. (Photo by Whitney Leggett)
