GRC indoor track competes in Lexington

The George Rogers Clark High School indoor track team competed Saturday at Nutter Field house on the campus of the University of Kentucky at the Wildcat Invitational.
Dasia Glanton lead the GRC girls team sprinters in the 60m dash with a time of 9.15 followed by Amari Turley 9.30 and India Isable 9.92. In the 60m Hurdles Makenzie Cooper led the team with a personal best time of 10.40. Cooper was followed by Liz Hale 11.56 and Sydney Cooper 12.90. In the distance events, Rachel Puckett led the girls with a time of 2:56 in the 800m and 6.21 in the 1 mile. Also competing in the distance events was Julia Graves — 2:58 in the 800m and 6.25 in the 1 mile. Emma Bowling ran the 800m in 3:10 while Emma Taylor completed the 1 mile in a time of 6:40. Maria Jackson was the sole team member to qualify for the 2 mile run. Jackson completed the event in 14:25.
In the boys competition, Joseph Happy led the boys squad in the 60m with a time of 7.38. Azariah Israel ran the 60m in 7.83. Jonathan Reitral competed in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.40. Lamont Kennedy led the throws squad with a put of 25 feet 6 inches.
