The George Rogers Clark High School swimming team held its final home meet of the season Wednesday night in Winchester and took the opportunity to honor the team’s five seniors — Tiana Ferrer, Caroline Handshoe, Pearce Nisbet, Riley Weckwert and Brooklyn Wiggington.

During the ceremony, Handshoe sang the National Anthem.

The Cardinals won the overall event, edging out Fleming County by five points, 383-378. The girls won and the boys finished third.

Nisbet won the 50-yard freestyle. He also won the 100-yard breaststroke. Ferrer finished 14th in the girls 100-yard freestyle.  Wickwert finished second in the 100-yard backstroke.
