Winchester’s Cash Express, 1309 W. Lexington Ave., will host a donation drive Friday to fill a police cruiser with toys and other donations for local children in need.
According to manager Patricia Farmer, the business is looking for donations of toys, non-perishable food items and new or gently-used clothing and coats.
Farmer said the cruiser will be outside the store Friday, but people can donate before then by leaving items inside the office.
Those wanting to give can also purchase a stocking for $1, and funds raised through those sales will be used to purchase more toys. She added that Cash Express has placed boxes around town at various businesses where donations can be left as well.
The toys will be given to the Clark County Fire Department for use in their holiday toy drive.
Any remaining items will be donated to other community organizations, such as churches or homeless shelters, for distribution to those in need.
