More than 80 Strode Station Elementary students gathered Wednesday evening to rehearse the school’s production of “Willy Wonka Kids.” The story follows five children who find golden tickets granting them entrance into the Wonka’s candy factory.
In addition to the cast of 80, teacher and director Laura Wilson said a team of 50 students worked with art teacher Christian Holladay to make the sets for the play.
The show had its public debut Thursday and another show is planned for 7 p.m. today at the Robert D. Campbell Junior High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and may be purchased by calling 745-3915.
