Leslie Rocky King

Leslie Rocky King, 55, of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 6, 2017, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

Rocky, the son of the late Leslie King and Margaret Marie Foster King, was born in Madison County on February 1, 1962. He was employed by Schwan’s Food Company as a Route Salesman. He enjoyed playing the guitar and had played with his family band, Soldier’s of the Cross. Rocky loved the Lord and was a member of Goff Corner First Church of God in Winchester. His recent hobby had been restoring a 1974 custom Chevy truck with his daughter, Sarah.

On May 15, 1981, Rocky united in marriage to Pamela Sue Gilkison King who survives.

Other survivors include his daughter: Sarah Marie King of Winchester; two brothers: Allen Sams of Lexington and Bernie W. Sams and wife Karen of Winchester; his sister: Lena “Doodle” Burton and husband Ernie.

Rocky was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Sams.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Phillips and Rev. Will Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his brothers, as well as, Bill Klasic, Ernie Burton, Jesse Byrd and Chris Byrd. www.cpcfh.com
