— Winchester Rotary Club meeting, noon at Woody’s Restaurant, 923 Bypass Road. Program speaker is Robert Parker, CEO of Clark Regional Medical Center. All current members and anyone interested in joining the civic organization is encouraged to attend. The club meets at noon each Friday.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 30

— “Bash it out for the homeless” co-ed softball tournament to benefit Beacon of Hope, 8 a.m. at Community Field. Cost is $150 per team. Contact Bradley Meadows at 859-404-7523 to add a team.

— Winchester-Clark County Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to noon on Depot Street.

— Third annual David Borden Anytime Fitness 5K and GRC Cheerleaders 1.5-mile Walk With Friends, 8:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church. Registration for walk is $15 and 5K is $25, due by Sept. 24. For a map and more information, go to danielboonepioneerfestival.com.

— 10th annual Friends of the Poor walk, 9 to 11 a.m. at College Park. — Southwest Clark Neighborhood Association meeting, 6 p.m., at the Waterfront Restaurant, 200 Athens Boonesboro Road. The agenda includes electing officers among the business items. The public is invited.

— NAMI Winchester-Clark County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) support/educational meeting, 7 p.m. at McCready Hall, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 2410 Lexington Road. — Celebrate Recovery meeting, 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing meetings, a support group for ages 13 to 19, are 7 p.m. at the RAC, 17 S. Main St. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Eight Beatitudes, the 12 Steps and their Biblical comparison.
