Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Contact the church office at 744-3722 for more information.

Services at Liberty Bible Church of God, 6615 Veterans Memorial Parkway, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sundays. There is a Bible study at 6 p.m. and youth services from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sundays as well. Pastor is Paul Hollingsworth. For more information, call 771-1009

Services at Salem Church at Pinegrove

The congregation of Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, Winchester, will observe its 230th anniversary and homecoming Sunday. All who have been part of the Salem Church family and ministry are invited to share in the celebration. Pastor Don Stanley will continue his sermon series on “Great Hymns of the Faith” considering “Onward, Christian Soldiers.” Worship at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” will begin at 11 a.m. The sacrament of communion will be shared, and a covered dish dinner will follow the service.

Celebrate Recovery meetings on Tuesdays

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the eight beatitudes, the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons. This program is for any hurt, hang-up or habit. There is childcare available for ages newborn to 4 years and Celebration Place, a pre-covery program for ages 5 to 12. The meetings are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive. The Landing is a support program based on the eight beatitudes for teens struggling with issues such as family relationships, food issues, being bullied, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, cutting or behavior problems.
