Over the next three weekends attendees at Winchester Youth Soccer League games will be able to grab a bite to eat and support local charity work at the same time.
The Boonesboro Lions Club will be operating a concession stand Saturday in addition to Sept. 30 and Oct. 7.
According to Lion’s Club President John Hendricks, the stand will offer game-day favorites such as hot dogs and candy.
“All the proceeds will go toward the programs we support,” Hendricks said.
The primary mission of the Lion’s Club is to provide eyeglasses to those who need them but can’t afford them.
In years past, the club has given away as many as 60 pairs of glasses annually, Hendricks said.
In addition, the club supports several local charities and provides an annual scholarship to a senior at George Rogers Clark High School.
Hendricks said the concession stand will only be accepting cash payments.
