WPD seeking suspect in weekend jogger attack

Winchester Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who tried to attack a woman as she jogged near College Park Sunday morning.
Police released a surveillance video Wednesday of the suspect, a white male wearing a plain white T-shirt and tan pants. The department said the video was recorded Sunday around 8 a.m. near Boone Avenue and College Street.
According to the police report, the incident was reported at 8:02 a.m. The female victim said she was jogging on College Street when a man grabbed her and tried to molest her. The woman told police she screamed and the suspect ran away.
According to the department’s Facebook post, they believe the suspect lives near South Maple Street or Boone Avenue.
