— Gary Garrison, Clark County, attended the 1992 Kentucky River Sweep Cleanup organizational meeting last week. This year’s event will be conducted Sept. 19 at various sites along the river. As local coordinator, Garrison will begin recruiting help in the coming weeks.

— A son was born to David and Tammy Mays, Winchester, at Clark Regional Medical Center. He has been named Justin Dwain. Grandparents are Mrs. Annie Lee Mays, Winchester.

— A son was born to Scotty and Judy Christopher at Clark Regional Medical Center. He has been named Tylar Scott. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Christopher and Beverlee Flack, Winchester, and Michael Flack, San Antonio, Texas.
