—Clark County’s 1993 Young Woman of the Year is Meredith Boyd, daughter of James and Martha Boyd. Boyd was one of 14 participants taking part in the competition Saturday night at Leeds Theatre. Alice Berryman was first runner-up, Andrea Adams was second runner-up.

—Ann Marie Harrington, Winchester, received a bachelor’s degree  in nursing in recent commencement exercises at Bellarmine College, Louisville.

—Tim Sublette of Winchester has been selected to serve as a sophomore adviser at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, Ind., for the 1992-93 academic year. A sophomore computer science major, he is a 1991 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and the son of John and Marian Sublette, 3925 Iron Works Road.
