Trust for Life cookout Friday
The Clark Circuit Clerk’s office will host a cookout to benefit the Trust for Life from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday outside the courthouse annex, 17 Cleveland Ave. The meal includes a hot dog, chips, cookie and a drink for $5. All proceeds benefit the Trust for Life.
Marine Corps League meeting cancelled
The Harold G. Epperson Detachment 1113 Marine Corps League meeting scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled. The next meeting will be May 27 at City Hall.
GIS special meeting Friday
There will be a special meeting of the Clark County GIS Board of Directors at 9 a.m. Friday at Winchester Municipal Utilities Administration Building, 150 N Main St. This is in place of the regular April 25 meeting.
Community Education classes offered
The following are upcoming Community Education classes:
— OneNote, 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 24, and Thursday, April 27, $45
— Conversational Spanish, 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 27 through June 8, $75.

Red River Road closed
Red River Road will be closed between Jackson Ferry and White-Conkwright roads from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Friday and Monday for repaving. Motorists can use Irvine Road, Main Street or Muddy Creek Road as alternate routes. The work is subject to change from weather and other factors.
Youth fishing day set for May 13
The Clark County Fish and Game Club’s annual youth fishing day will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at the clubhouse on Water Works Road. The event is free and open to all youth 15 and younger. Bluegill tourney hosted May 20
The Clark County Fish and Game Club will hold an open bluegill tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday May 20. The event, which is open to anyone 16 years of age and older, will be at the Carroll Ecton Reservoir, 1255 Water Works Road. For more information, call Lee Kerr at 771-5639.
