Clark Regional Medical Center hosted a luncheon Friday to celebrate employees who earned certifications over the past year.
Deidre Bradley, vice president of human resources and public relations, said that over the last year 42 CRMC employees across various departments put in extra work to earn certifications in several fields.
For some, the new certifications were one of many that they had earned during their time at the hospital. Others had received their first since joining the CRMC team.
About 25 of those people were present at Friday’s lunch, Bradley said.
“We value higher education and continuing education because it helps us make sure our staff is well trained,” Bradley said. “That contributes to our high quality of care.”
Katy Hedge, director of marketing and business development, who herself was recognized for continuing education efforts, noted that the celebration was happening during National Patient Safety Week.
“All of these certifications just show our investment in our staff and keeping our patients safe,” Hedge said.
