Tax time: AARP offering tax-filing assistance

The AARP Tax-Aide program, which has been active in Winchester for more than 30 years, prepares taxes for local residents free of charge.
AARP volunteer Grace Ingram said the Winchester program often prepares around 550 returns annually. The office is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. through April 18.
