Henry Jones and Esther Rye were crowned king and queen of the George Rogers Clark High School’s Future Teachers of America’s Sweetheart Dance Saturday night at the high school. First attendants were Wanda Snowden and Jimmy Potts; second attendants were Arlene Caudill and Britt Sewell and third attendants were Barbara Stevenson and Douglass White.
Paul B. Hay and Paul E. King, freshmen at Eastern Kentucky University, recently were initiated into Co. R., Second Battalion, First Regiment, National Honorary Society of Pershing Rifles. Hay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Hay, 6 Byrd Ave., and King is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles King, 16 Waveland Ave.
