City and county residents are being asked to recycle their old telephone books. The recycling effort is being promoted by the Clark County Solid Waste Extension Education Program (SWEEP). Jerry McDonald, SWEEP chairman, explained that the local telephone book recycling efforts are being coordinated with similar efforts in Lexington.

Tiffany Moore, Winchester, has been named to the Dean’s List at St. Catherine College, St. Catherine. To be named, a student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Marcum have purchased a home at 21 Windridge Drive from Sandy Justice. The transaction was handled by Tom Goebel & Co., Annette Goebel, listing and selling agent.
