Phyllis Rapier Shearer, 77

Phyllis Rapier Shearer, 77, wife of Audley L. Shearer, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Clark Regional Medical Center. A native of Clark County, she was born on November 28, 1939, to the late John and Alice Gambrel Rapier. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Forest Park Lanes and McDonald’s.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Connie (Charles) Neeley, Doris Spencer, Janet (John) Hayes, Brenda (Thomas) Owens and Jackie (Frank) Morris; one son, Russell Shearer; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Eunice Jones; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Emin (Cordia) Rapier, Shelley (Theresa) Rapier and Carl (Renee) Rapier; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by son-in-law, Cornelius Blakeman Jr.
Services will be at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Scobee Funeral Home by Brother Kevin Marshall. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will Jonathan Hayes, Thomas Owens, Marcus Rowland, Chip Blakeman, Nickolas Jordan, Don Baker, Keith Boozer and Brenden Boozer.
Family will receive friends from 1:00PM until time of service.
