WMU meeting canceled
Today’s Winchester Municipal Utilities meeting has been canceled. A special meeting will be scheduled if needed. The next regular meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at WMU, 150 N. Main St. For more information, call 744-5434.
Farmers market open house
The Winchester-Clark County Farmers’ Market Christmas Open House will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the former Graham’s Western Wear, 18 N. Main St.
Parks and Rec holiday hours
Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1. Facilities will close at 4 p.m. Dec. 23 and Dec. 31. Everything will reopen at 8 a.m. Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
Leaf collection extended
City-wide leaf collection will end Thursday, Dec. 22.
American Legion meeting
American Legion Post 25 will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Elks Club on Shoppers Drive. All veterans are welcome.
WMU holiday changes
Curbside recycling will be collected Wednesday, Dec. 21, for Winchester Municipal Utilities customers that have collection on Thursday, Dec. 22, and Friday, Dec. 23. Please have the blue curbit to the curb by 7 a.m. WMU will be closed Dec. 22-23 for Christmas. For more information, call the Solid Waste Department at 744-1170.
GIS meeting rescheduled
There will be a special meeting of the Clark County Consortium for GIS Board of Directors at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in place of the regular meeting scheduled for Dec. 26. The meeting will be at the WMU Administration Office, 150 N. Main St.
Retired teachers meeting Tuesday
The Clark County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall for a potluck meal, with meat and drinks provided. Entertainment will be from the church’s handbell choir.
