Jerome Embry, quarterback of the undefeated Class 4A state football champions George Rogers Clark High School Cardinals, is one of five finalists for the Kentucky Mr. Football Award. Embry and teammates Eric Clay and Tim Hampton were named Sunday to the Louisville Courier-Journal’s All-State first team. Embry and Hampton were named to the All-State first team defense, while Clay was named to the All-State first team offense. Clark defensive lineman John Hatton was named to the Honorable Mention Team in the voting done by the state’s head high school football coaches.
