Ora Baber Parido, 94, of Winchester, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at Rose Manor Health Care in Lexington.
She was born October 9, 1922 in Powell County, KY, to the late George and Hettie Crow Baber. Ora worked as a seamstress for Curlee Clothing. She was a member of Liberty Bible Church of God.
Ora is survived by one daughter, Sue (Marcus Lisle II) Raney; one son, William E. (Linda Fox) Baber; five grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff) Gilde of Goshen, KY, Wesley Raney of Nashville, TN, Paul (Katherine) Baber, Marcus Lisle III(Kim) Raney, Kyle (Brooke) Raney; eleven great-grandchildren, Evan, Mason and Thomas Baber, Austin and Hunter Raney, Parker and Madeline Raney, Cara Raney all of Winchester, Scott, Gracie, and Greta Gilde of Louisville, KY; one sister-in-law, Juanita Baber.
In addition to her parents, Ora was preceded in death by her husbands, William N. Baber and William Parido; one son, David Alan Parido; two brothers, Roy and Earl Baber; one sister, Ada Hatton.
A funeral service to honor the life of Ora Baber Parido will be conducted 2:00PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Bill Konstantopoulos. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Raney, Wesley Raney, Kyle Raney, Paul Baber, Jeff Gilde and Scott Gilde. Honorary pallbearers will be Ora’s great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the time of service Tuesday at Scobee Funeral Home.
