GIS meeting Tuesday

The Clark County Consortium for GIS Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the WMU Administration Office, 150 N. Main St.

Open burning banned 

Because of extreme dry conditions, Clark County Judge-Executive Henry Branham, upon advisement from Clark County Fire Chief Billy Jones, declared a ban on open burning effective Oct. 18. The ban is still in effect and will be until significant rainfall is recorded. For more information, contact the Clark County Fire Department at 745-0260. 

Licensing board meeting cancelled 

The Winchester Licensing Board meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. today has been cancelled.

City commission meetings cancelled 

The Winchester Board of Commissioners meetings schedule for Dec. 6 and Dec. 20 have been cancelled and rescheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 13 in the commission chambers at City Hall.
