Richard Berini, 97, of Winchester, widower of Virginia Pasley Berini, after 64 years of marriage, passed away Friday at his home.
Richard was born in Wilcoe, West Virginia, on May 30, 1919, to the late Anthony J. and Caroline Brusa Berini. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rotary Club, he attended Duke University and assisted with the construction of the stone Chapel, he graduated from the University of Kentucky, he was a WWII United States Signal Corps veteran and a retired real estate broker.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki (Bob) Brashear of Clark County and Alice (Bryan) Beach of Powder Springs, GA, grandchildren, Stephen (Charis) Brashear, Nathan Brashear and Carson Brashear of Clark County, Paul (Kelly) Beach, Sara Jane Beach, Ashly Ann (Bryce) Keadle, all of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Jackson Keadle, Matthew Keadle and Virginia Keadle of Georgia, and Griffen Brashear of Clark County and special caregiver, Patsy.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 28, at 10am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Frank Brawner and Father Norman Fischer presiding. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5p-7p at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
