First Fire starting Saturday worship

March 13, 2010

Winchester First Church of God’s First Fire outreach will soon launch a weekly Saturday night service at its Bridge Campus in the Winchester Plaza (the former Dawahares store building).

The new worship service will begin April 3 at 5:22 p.m.

“Our Saturday night service is perfect for those looking for contemporary worship and a relevant message in a relaxed atmosphere,” Pastor James Williams said in a Facebook message. “You can worship and still have time to catch a movie and nice dinner out. There will be a coffee/espresso bar, finger food, children’s ministry (just drop them off and they will have a blast), an awesome band that includes keyboard, guitars, brass, drums and live vocalists. We also use drama and all types of media on two large screens.”

The night kicks off with energetic, heart-felt praise music. It will be “intense, exciting, loud and expressive,” Williams said.

Those who attend should feel free to sit, shout, dance, jump, clap, sing loud and celebrate, he said. “However you worship is OK with us,” he said. “There are no boundaries.”

After the sermon, there will another time of passionate worship, and people can then leave when they wish.
