WINCHESTER POLICE
Charged
— Thomas Updike, 47, of 21 Cook Ave., was charged Friday with possession of marijuana and wanton endangerment.
— Johnny Abney, 30, of Irvine, was charged Saturday with receiving stolen property and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
— Eric C. White, 29, of 119 Georgia St., was charged Saturday with theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
— Lloyd R. Powell, 29, of 109 E. Railroad St., was charged Saturday with receiving stolen property and fleeing or evading police.
— Tim F. Reed, 33, of 1780 Lone Oak Road, was served a warrant Sunday.
Reports
— At 9:17 p.m. Friday, Johnny Psimer Jr. of 119 Buckner St. reported that he was sitting in his car in the Walmart parking lot with the door open when a shopping cart struck the door, which then shut on his leg. The car door and fender were both damaged.
— At 7:30 a.m. Sunday, William Brewer of 2 Georgia St. reported that the left front window on his car was broken. Nothing was taken from the car.
— At 11 a.m. Sunday, Darlene Rice of 530 Acadia Way reported that her son’s iPhone was taken from Massey Park.
— At 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Randy McKenzie of 3616 Stamper Drive reported that someone took a prepaid cell phone and change from his vehicle.
CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF
Charged
— Kimberly D. Dunn, no age, of 208 Wabash Ave., was charged Friday with resisting arrest, giving an officer a false name, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, prescription controlled substance not in its proper container and contempt of court.
— Charles A. Gibson, 52, of 781 Mina Station Road, was served a criminal summons Saturday.
— Jeffery W. Willis, 49, of 1464 Amster Grove Road, was charged Sunday with speeding, driving on a DUI-suspended operator’s license, possession of a suspended operator’s license, theft of identity and giving officer a false name.
Reports
— At 5:34 p.m. Sunday, deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Boonesboro Road. The driver, Jeffery W. Willis, gave deputies another person’s operator’s license. He later admitted his true identity and was arrested.
WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS
— During the weekend, emergency personnel conducted three local transfers and nine out-of-town transfers. They also responded to five general medical calls, five cardiac cases, five falls, one motor vehicle accident, two respiratory cases, one diabetic case, one seizure, one engine assist and one call to assist Clark County Fire Department.
CLARK COUNTY FIRE
— At 8:47 a.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call on McClure Road.
— At 4:55 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to a barn fire at 2346 Colby Road. When firefighters arrived, they found a barn fully involved. Firefighters deployed hose lines to prevent fire from spreading, then extinguished hot spots. The property was on the property of the late Helm Early. A cause has not yet been determined.
— At 2:30 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a grass fire near the eight-mile marker of the Mountain Parkway.
— At 1:46 a.m. today, firefighters responded to a transformer fire on Rockwell Road.
