The celebration was wild after the George Rogers Clark High School Lady Cardinals defeated Montgomery County 48-35 for the 10th Region title Saturday afternoon at Mason County High School. At left, Jewel Rogers, cut a section of the net. Team members, cheerleaders, parents and fans joined in the celebration, bottom photo. Coach Scott True hugged junior guard Preshia Rogers after winning his first regional title, top photo. The Lady Cards will play Ohio County in the 9 p.m. EST game of the Girls’ Sweet 16 Tournament Thursday at E.A. Diddle Arena on the campus of Western Kentucky University.
