Dr. Suess’s birthday celebration at Clark County Public Library

WINCHESTER — Celebrate one of the most beloved authors in children’s literature at the Clark County Public Library’s birthday party for Dr. Seuss. The party begins at 11 a.m. and all youth ages are welcome to attend.

Tuesday, March 9

Clark County Writers’ Group

WINCHESTER — Flex your creative muscles and get feedback on your writing at the Clark County Writers’ Group meeting. The meeting will be in the Clark County Public Library board room, 370 S. Burns Ave., at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend, no matter what their experience or skill level.

Second Thursday Program at the Bluegrass Heritage Museum

WINCHESTER — The monthly lecture series at the Bluegrass Heritage Museum, 217 S. Main St., continues today with a program about the work of artist Paul Sawyier. Sawyier was an impressionist painter in the late 19th and early 20th century in Frankfort. He is best known for his landscapes, river scenes and townscapes. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
