— Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program using the 12 steps and the Beatitudes for any hurt, habit or hang-up, 7 p.m. Calvary Christian Church, 15 Redwing Drive, entrance E. Meetings are never canceled. For more information, call 744-0817.

— Free tax preparation and counseling, sponsored by AARP, Central Baptist Church Annex, 101 W. Lexington Ave., 10 a.m.-3 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday through April 13.

— Free soup kitchen, Rod’s Fairview Market, 359 E. Washington St., 5-7 p.m. Every Tuesday and Friday.

— Oobleck Concoction Craft Night for Read Across America Day, Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave., 6:30 p.m. All youth ages.

— Dr. Seuss’s birthday, Green Eggs and Ham Day, Strode Station Elementary. Green eggs and ham will be served for lunch, along with other choices.

— Clark County Retired Teachers meeting, noon, Taste of China. Former Executive Director of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association will be the guest speaker.

— Retired school lunchroom managers luncheon, Giovanni’s, 11:30 a.m.

— Winchester Lions Club meeting, Golden Corral, dinner at 5:45 p.m., meeting afterwards.

— Compassionate Friends support group meeting for parents who have lost children at any age and from any cause, 7 p.m., Hospice East. Meetings are open to all adult family members and friends.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3

— Tiny Tots, 10 a.m., Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave., ages 6 months-2 years.

— Story Time, 11 a.m., Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave., ages 3-7 years.

— Staff Swap and Read Day, Strode Station Elementary, teachers will swap classrooms and read a story to the students.

— Winchester High School reunion planning committee meeting, 1 p.m., College Park Gym meeting room. All interested parties/class representatives are urged to attend. Call Lana Hopkins at 744-3014 for more information.

— First Settlers Homemakers Club meeting, Golden Corral, 10:30 a.m.

THURSDAY, MARCH 4

— Teen Gaming, Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave., 6-7:30 p.m., ages 12-18, snacks provided. Permission slips are available at www.clarkpublib.org.

— Drop Everything and Read and Sock it to Reading, Strode Station Elementary, at 8 a.m. all students in the school will drop what they’re doing and read. Students are also invited to wear crazy or mismatched socks to school.

— Strode Station Elementary parent night, 5:30-7 p.m. Parents can visit with their child’s teacher and the Book Fair will be taking place in the library. PTO officers and parent representatives for the School-based Decision-making Council will be elected.
