Severe storms drill Tuesday morning

On Tuesday at 10:07 a.m., there will be a statewide tornado drill, and the local Emergency Management team will be sounding the sirens at that time.

Anyone who has questions or wants to participate in the drill can call Gary Epperson’s office at 745-7415.

Clark County High class of ’48 to meet

Clark County High School class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Colonel’s Lady, West Lexington Avenue.

Those attending have been asked to not park in the apartment area.

Correction

An article in Wednesday’s edition of The Winchester Sun incorrectly stated that the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. March 9 at the Cooperative Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive. The meeting will actually begin at 6 p.m.

Spring Community Education classes

Community Education has openings remaining in the following classes: Guitar for Children, Guitar for Teens & Adults, Easy Internet & Digital Communications, Italian Cooking, Tax-Free Investing, Horses for Adults and Cooking with Kids.

In the spring brochure, the price for Easy Internet and Digital Communications was listed incorrectly. Community Education apologizes for the error. The correct price for Easy Internet and Digital Communications is $30 for the four-week course.

Call Community Education at 745-3946 to register for classes or for more information.

George Rogers Clark school council today

The George Rogers Clark School-based Decision-making Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the school library.

‘Town hall’ meeting tonight at Extension

The Clark County Fiscal Court will have its latest town hall-style meeting tonight at 6 at the Clark County Extension Office on Fortune Drive in the Winchester Industrial Park.

The meeting’s purpose is to explain the new county commission form of the Fiscal Court and answer questions about it.

It is open to the public.

Clark Middle SBDM meeting today

The Clark Middle School-based Decision-making Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the school library.
