Methodist church names assistant

The Rev. Kevin Parido has joined the staff of Winchester First United Methodist Church as pastoral assistant.

Born and reared in Winchester, Parido attended Kentucky Christian College, where he received a B.S. in the Bible and general ministry.

After graduation, he moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where he served as an associate pastor of a contemporary church for eight years. In late 2006, he came home to attend Asbury Theological Seminary to pursue a Master of Divinity degree.

Parido is uniquely gifted and brings a new dimension of ministry to the church, said Senior Pastor James Williams IV. He will primarily focus on the ministry of the church’s second campus, The Bridge, located in Winchester Plaza.

Parido is married to Sara Beth, and they have two children, Luke and Liam.

Winchester First United Methodist Church’s other campus is at 204 S. Main St. The church offers services each Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at the South Main Campus and 11:15 am at The Bridge Campus (First Fire.)
